Sharp Aquos Sense 8 - Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 180Hz IGZO OLED display, NFC, 50MP camera and IP68 water protection for $415
Sharp has announced another smartphone under the Aquos brand. The eighth generation model is called Sharp Aquos Sense 8.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone is equipped with an IGZO OLED display in Full HD+ format (2432 x 1080 pixels). The panel has a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz, but in Black Frame Insertion mode. Without this, the frame rate is 90Hz.
At the heart of the Sharp Aquos Sense 8 is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile processor. The chipset is manufactured using 4 nm technology. The CPU has a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz, and the graphics subsystem is represented by Adreno 710 GPU. The RAM capacity was 6 GB (LPDDR4x), and the storage capacity is 128 GB (UFS 2.2).
At the back, there is a dual main camera without a telephoto lens. The resolution is 50 MP + 8 MP. The main module has an optical image stabilisation system. For selfies, a front-facing 8 MP camera is provided.
Sharp Aquos Sense 8 has a battery capacity of 5000 mA*h, as well as protection according to IP68, MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-810H standards. The smartphone also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, headphone jack and NFC.
The price of Sharp Aquos Sense 8 was $415. The novelty will go on sale with pre-installed Android 13 operating system in black, bronze, olive and blue body colours.
