Petcube Cam 360: pet camera with 360° rotation, night mode and two-way communication

Ukrainian company Petcube has presented a novelty for pet owners - a video surveillance camera Petcube Cam 360.

Here's What We Know

In the range of the manufacturer already has a popular worldwide model Petcube Cam. But the company decided to improve it and added 360-degree camera rotation, which is reflected in the name Petcube Cam 360. The camera can now rotate left and right, as well as rise and tilt to provide a comprehensive view.

The picture is broadcast in Full HD 1080p with 8x digital zoom capability. Two-way audio communication is available with a microphone so the owner can remotely hear what's going on in the house and talk to their pet. If necessary, you can switch to private mode with physical lens lock, which means the camera will be switched on but will stop recording what is happening.

In addition, there is a night mode with a depth of illumination up to 9 metres, support for Amazon Alexa and smart notifications: the camera can recognise people and animals and will send alerts to the user's smartphone when movement and noise are detected.

"The Cam 360's design is a tribute to Kazimir Malevich and his work called the Black Circle or Project 1915, created in 1923, exactly 100 years ago. Historically Malevich has been misclassified as a Russian artist, which of course is yet another example of Russian imperialism. We hope that our work will help people discover both the fact that Malevich considered himself a Ukrainian and his enormous contribution to world and Ukrainian visual culture", - stressed one of the founders of Petcube Yaroslav Azhnyuk.

Petcube Cam 360 costs $53, but is now on sale with a discount for $41.99. In Ukraine, the novelty is expected in early 2024.

And for dessert - the official video of Petcube Cam 360 with Nikolai Lysenko's overture to the opera "Taras Bulba" as a voiceover.
