Acer Nitro V 16 is the world's first laptop with Ryzen 8040 processor priced from $999
AMD held an Advance AI event the day before, where it unveiled Ryzen 8040 processors. The first product with the new chip was Acer Nitro V 16 laptop.
Here's What We Know
Acer Nitro V 16 is equipped with a 16" diagonal display with a frame refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and a response time of 3 ms. The model is available in WQXGA (2560 x 1600) and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) panel configurations. The aspect ratio is 16 to 10.
The laptop in the top modification is equipped with a Ryzen 7 8845HS processor with a frequency of up to 5.1 GHz. The chip uses eight Zen 4 cores with support for multi-threading technology. The graphics subsystem is represented by Radeon 780M on RDNA 3 architecture. TDP reaches 45W.
Acer Nitro V 16 received up to 32 GB of RAM type DDR5-5600 and SSD with PCI Express 4.0 maximum capacity of 2 TB. Apart from the integrated graphics, the laptop will be able to offer discrete graphics card up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Acer Nitro V 16 will go on sale in March 2024. The cost of the gaming laptop will start at $999 / €1199.
