Facebook Messenger gets end-to-end encryption by default and other new features
Meta has announced new useful features for Facebook Messenger.
Here's What We Know
The main innovation of the application is end-to-end encryption by default. That is, now all your private messages are encrypted and only you and your interlocutor can read them.
In addition to encryption, Facebook Messenger users have the ability to edit messages that were sent within 15 minutes. Also in the programme it is possible to send disappearing messages and hide information about reading.
Among the innovations it is worth noting the improved voice messages. For example, you can listen to a message at 1.5x or 2x speed and pick up where you left off last time.
When We Can Expect It
New features have already started being added to Facebook Messenger in waves. The full list of changes will be available to everyone in the coming months.
