Retro Gaming Watch: a wristwatch that turns into a Game Boy-style gaming console

Fundraising for an interesting gadget called Retro Gaming Watch continues on the Kickstarter platform.

Details

This is a wristwatch with an unusual design, which when unfolded turns into a kind of analogue of Game Boy. The Game Boy allows you to play 8-bit and 16-bit games.

Retro Gaming Watch is equipped with two displays: a small external one for displaying the time and an internal LCD with a diagonal of 1.54 inches, a resolution of 320×320 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

The gadget has also got a Renesas/Dialog DA14706 chip with a 160-MHz application processor and two ARM Cortex-MD processors for sensors and Bluetooth. There's also 1.5MB of RAM, 8MB of external QSPI RAM and a battery that provides up to 2 days of battery life in smart watch mode or a few hours of gaming.

The Retro Gaming Watch can be ordered on Kickstarter for $159. But keep in mind that deliveries are not scheduled until November 2024.
