Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition: 120Hz screen, MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip and 66W charging for $280
Honor, as promised, announced in China its new smartphone Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition (aka Honor Play 5 Youth Edition).
What we know
The device is a new version of Honor Play 5 introduced in May. The novelty is equipped with a 6.67-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and an opening for a 16 MP front camera. On the back side of the device they placed a dual main camera with 64 MP + 2 MP sensors.
The MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor is responsible for the heart of the device. The chip is paired with 8GB of RAM (+ 2GB of virtual memory), an integrated 5G modem and GPU Turbo X graphics enhancement feature. The device is powered by a 4,300mAh battery. It charges via the USB-C port using a 66W power supply (from 0 to 50% in 15 min). Out of the box, the smartphone comes with Android 11 operating system.
Price and when to expect
One can buy Honor Play 5 Vitality Edition in China on November 1. They will cost $280 - 8/128GB version, and $315 - the 8/256GB version. Whether the novelty will appear on the global market is unknown.
