Assassin's Creed Shadows will require a constant Internet connection during the game: all through Assassin's Creed Infinity - a hub where players will launch the series' games

On 15 May, Ubisoft presented the premiere trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows, a long-awaited game set in feudal Japan. And now, not the most pleasant "surprises" have started to appear about the game.

Here's What We Know

If you don't have the best Internet connection and were planning to buy a disc to download the game faster (because it will obviously weigh a lot), we have bad news for you. The game will require an internet connection to download from the disc. So you still have time to improve your speed or just suck it up and wait a couple of hours for everything to load.

But that's not all. On the game's PS Store page, it says that the game will require a constant internet connection. Yes, you read that right, the single-player game will require a connection to play.

This decision is related to the plan to release Assassin's Creed Infinity, a live service through which players will be able to launch all future Assassin's Creed games. And now Infinity is to be released alongside Shadows. So, if you wanted to play Assassin's Creed Shadows without the Internet, you won't be able to play Assassin's Creed Shadows.

We would like to remind you that after the screening of Assassin's Creed Shadows, After the screening of Assassin's Creed Shadows, players were divided into two camps: the trailer received 194 thousand likes, but more than 215 thousand dislikes: the trailer received 194 thousand likes, but more than 215 thousand dislikes. Most often, players complain in the comments that Ubisoft opened pre-orders for the game, even though the company has not even shown the gameplay.

Flashback

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, players will find the story of two protagonists: a samurai of African descent, Yasuke, and a shinobi girl, Naoé.

Their life stories were not connected, but by the will of fate, the heroes are forced to work together to fight the Order of the Ancients, which seized power in Japan. In June, the developers promise to demonstrate the first gameplay trailer of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Obviously, this will happen at Ubisoft Forward on 10 June.

When We Can Expect It

Assassin's Creed Shadows will be released on 15 November 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
