ASUS ROG Phone 6D: gaming smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip and unique AeroActive Portal cooling system starting at $910
ASUS, as promised, held an event in Europe, which introduced its new gaming smartphone - ASUS ROG Phone 6D.
Here's What We Know
The main difference between the new product and the usual ROG Phone 6 is the top-of-the-line MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor. If you believe the performance tests, it is 5% more powerful than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Otherwise, the smartphones are similar.
ASUS ROG Phone 6D has a 10-bit OLED display with a 6.78-inch diagonal, 165 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. In addition, the novelty was equipped with a 50 MP + 13 MP + 5 MP primary camera, a 12 MP front and a 6,000 mAh battery. It supports 65-watt fast charging. The smartphone has IPX4 protection, as well as USB-C and 3.5 mm ports.
By the way, ASUS ROG Phone 6D will be sold in two versions: regular and Ultimate. The second features a drive up to 512GB, RGB lighting, and a unique AeroActive Portal cooling system. It has an opening on the back panel with a hinge. When a proprietary cooler is connected, the system automatically opens and air is blown to the inside of the smartphone.
Price & When We Can Expect It
ASUS ROG Phone 6D has already started selling, but so far only in the UK. The regular version costs from £799 (about $910), and the Ultimate - from £1199 (about $1336).
