Here's What We Know
The corresponding statement was made by the head of the United Engine Corporation in the framework of the forum "Army-2023". He said that now everything is going according to plan, and the company does not intend to move the production deadlines.
The current contract with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation was signed several years ago. The agreement will last until 2027. The Air and Space Forces started receiving Su-57 fighters with old engines last year.
The Defence Ministry ordered 76 aircraft. The Russian aviation is expected to add 22 fifth-generation fighters by the end of 2024. As for the new flat-nozzle propulsion system with controlled thrust vectoring, the Russians are positioning it as a sixth-generation engine. 90 per cent of the components are 3D-printed.
