Minus $32,000,000: the AFU shot down 2 modern Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopters over the morning

Ukrainian defenders shot down two modern Russian Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters on the morning of 17 August.

Here's What We Know

The first helicopter was shot down by an anti-aircraft unit of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at around 6 am in the Bakhmut direction.

The second helicopter was "landed" by soldiers of the 47th separate mechanised brigade near Robotino (Zaporizhzhya region) at about 7:40 local time.

The Ka-52 "Alligator" is a Russian combat helicopter and commander's vehicle of the army aviation. It is capable of engaging armoured and unarmoured vehicles, manpower and aerial targets on the battlefield. It is a continuation of the Ka-50 "Black Shark" model. One such helicopter costs about $16,000,000.
