Here's What We Know
According to the source, a delegation of the Ukrainian Air Force travelled to France to discuss and agree on the details of the future deal. It is possible that the training of Ukrainian pilots has already begun. At the same time, the number of aircraft has not yet been specified.
The Mirage 2000D is one of several modifications of the fourth-generation Mirage 2000 fighter. It made its debut flight in February 1991, and the production model took to the skies for the first time two years later.
The main mission of the Mirage 2000D is to counter enemy air defences and strike ground targets. The fighter is a carrier of SCALP EG and Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which have already entered service with the Ukrainian Air Force.
The French Air Force has more than 50 aircraft in its arsenal, which are undergoing modernisation to improve combat capabilities in air-to-air and air-to-ground operations. Some fighter jets have the Link 16 communications system, which allows them to share data with friendly forces on the ground and in the air.
