F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters will receive an advanced next-generation electronic warfare system
L3Harris has been working with the US Navy for more than 60 years and has been providing innovative electronic warfare capabilities for the F/A-18 for more than 20 years. The company was recently awarded a new contract.

L3Harris announced on its official website that it has signed an agreement with the US Navy to continue developing advanced systems to modernise the electronic warfare capabilities in the F/A-18 fighter aircraft. This will improve the pilots' defence against emerging and future threats.
The US company has received funding to develop a next-generation electronic warfare system for fighter jets in service with the US Navy. The deal totalled $80m. Another firm is involved in the project. The US Navy will select the winner in 2026.
The new L3Harris electronic warfare system will include electronic support and electronic attack capabilities. The modular approach will ensure that new technology can be integrated quickly, saving time and budget.
