The US will provide Argentina with a loan to partially pay for F-16 aircraft and missiles
Argentina will receive a loan from the United States to partially pay for 24 Danish F-16 fighters, which will cost $300 million.

Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and his Argentine counterpart, Luis Petris, signed an agreement in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on 26 March 2024. They plan to sign a contract for the purchase of 24 used F-16 fighters. The ceremony was also attended by the US Ambassador to Argentina, Mark Stanley.
Denmark has agreed to sell 24 of its used aircraft for $300 million, which is quite a lot for Argentina. Therefore, the United States decided to partially cover the cost of the fighter jets and their missiles, including the AIM-120 AMRAAM. Although Argentina will still have to raise additional funds from the budget to pay for the deal.
