A total of 44 cryptocurrency hacks were recorded in October. The largest is the BNB Chain hack. The attacker gained access to $544 million, but only managed to withdraw $100 million because the developers responded relatively quickly to the hack. Now he has $432 million at his address, but no way to withdraw the funds.
Hackers have managed to steal $3 billion in cryptocurrency since the beginning of the year. That's twice as much as for all of 2021. The safest month was July, when about $10 million was stolen, while March was the leader. In the first month of spring, hackers stole more than $700 million.
