Insider: Redmi Pad tablet will run on a new MediaTek processor

New details about the first tablet Redmi appeared in the network.

So, according to Polish insider @kacskrz, the novelty will run a new MediaTek processor. The chip goes under the codename MT8781. It will be similar in characteristics to the SoC Helio G99.

The processor will have two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores. For graphics in the chipset accelerator Mali-G57 MC2 will be responsible. MT8781 will also get support for LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 memory, cameras up to 108 MP and displays with 2000×1200 resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate.

When Redmi Pad will be presented there is no information yet. We only know that the tablet should be sold in Asia and Europe.
