Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gets a new core structure and a maximum frequency of 3.7GHz

Qualcomm will unveil its next-generation flagship mobile processor this year. It will be a replacement for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and will be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Here's What We Know

Some of the specifications of the new chip have been revealed by Digital Chat Station insider. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will get a new core structure: one Prime core, five performance cores and two "small" cores. The maximum frequency will be a record 3.7GHz. The graphics subsystem will be represented by Adreno 750 GPU.

The processor will be manufactured using TSMC's 4nm N4P technology. The N4P node was introduced a year and a half ago. This tech process is still pretty good, so the Taiwanese company is in no hurry to move to 3nm.
