Samsung and Sony's updated sensors: details of Google's Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro cameras have surfaced online
Our colleagues at Android Authority have shared detailed camera specs for Google's Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.

So, according to the leak, the base model of the Pixel 8 will get a main camera with two sensors. The main sensor is the Samsung GN2 with 50 megapixels. In comparison, the Pixel 7 has Samsung's GN1 sensor. It will be complemented by a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 wide-angle camera with 0.55x zoom and an STMicroelectronics VL53L1 ToF sensor.
As for the Pixel 8 Pro, it will come with a triple main camera. The main sensor is the same as the Pixel 8. The wide-angle camera will get a 64 MP Sony IMX787 sensor with 0.49x zoom. Google will also fit the Pixel 8 Pro with a 48 MP Samsung GM5 periscopic sensor with 5x optical zoom support. The novelty will also be equipped with a new 8×8 VL53L8 ToF sensor and a Melexis MLX90632 temperature sensor. The front-facing camera of the newcomers will be the same - a Samsung 3J1 for 11 MP.
