10 cores clocked up to 3.1GHz, Xclipse 940 graphics and camera support up to 320MP: Samsung Exynos 2400 chip specs for the Galaxy S24 have surfaced online

We have already written more than once that Samsung plans to bring back the Exynos chip in flagship devices next year. Now the first details about the novelty have appeared on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

So, the SoC should come to the market with the name Exynos 2400. The novelty will boast the presence of ten cores with a configuration of 1 + 2 + 3 + 4. The main core Cortex-X4 will operate at a frequency of 3.1 GHz. It should be complemented by two Cortex-A720 at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 at 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A520 at 1.8 GHz. All the cores will be based on the ARMv9 architecture.

As for the GPU, it will be the Xclipse 940 with an increased number of compute units with AMD RDNA 2 technology. While the Xclipse 920 had three WGPs (workgroup processors) with two compute units each, the Xclipse 940 will likely have six WGPs with 12 GPU cores. The chip will also support LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and cameras with up to 320 MP resolution. The Exynos 2400 should be equipped with the new Exynos 5300 modem.

When We Can Expect It

Expect the release of Exynos 2400 in the near future is not worth waiting for. Most likely, the SoC will debut alongside the Galaxy S24 flagships in early 2024.
