Apple wants to teach the Apple Watch to automatically change watch faces to match the colour of the band and clothing
Apple is constantly looking for ways to expand the capabilities of its Apple Watch smart watch. They can already measure heart rate, blood oxygen levels, do ECGs and detect falls. And now the company wants to implement technology to automatically change the watch face depending on the user's appearance.
Here's What We Know
A patent issued this week by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office describes a smartwatch feature that involves auto-adjusting watch faces to match the colour of the user's strap and clothing.
To do this, Apple wants to use light sensors under the display. They will detect the colour of external objects, and the system will automatically select a dial in the same colour scheme.
But it should be understood that so far this is just a patent, not a ready technology, so in the near future to wait for Apple Watch with this function is definitely not worth it. It is possible that this idea will remain only on paper.
