Not just SMS: Huawei Mate 60 smartphones will be able to make satellite calls
One of the main features of last year's flagship Huawei Mate 50 series was support for satellite communications. In case of emergencies, smartphones can send messages in the absence of mobile communication. This year, according to the leak, Huawei will improve this feature.
Here's What We Know
According to the leak, Huawei Mate 60 smartphones will not only be able to send messages, but also make calls via satellite, in the absence of mobile communication. For this purpose, they will be equipped with power amplifier (PA) chips manufactured by Chinese chip makers.
Meanwhile, another Chinese satellite system, Tiantong, will be used for communication. It is designed for voice communication, precise positioning, image and data transmission.
The official presentation of the Huawei Mate 60 is expected this autumn.
