Redmi K70 Pro could be the first smartphone in the history of Redmi K series to feature an optical zoom camera

Redmi K70 Pro may become the first representative of the lineup to get a telephoto lens. This is reported by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station.

The Redmi K lineup debuted in 2019 with the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro models, which featured retractable selfie cameras. Xiaomi has released five generations of the series in 4.5 years, but none of them have featured smartphones with telephoto lenses until now.

The Redmi K70 Pro is ready to break this tradition. According to a Chinese insider, the smartphone will get a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom with no loss of quality. At the same time, the rest of the camera specifications are not specified.

Earlier it was reported that the Redmi K70 Pro will get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 120Hz OLED display and a 5,120 mA*h battery. However, the smartphone was recently tested in Geekbench 6.1. The model is likely to get a Dimensity 9200+ chip.

The announcement date of the Redmi K70 Pro has not been specified.
