Insider: the Fairphone 5 design smartphone with 90Hz OLED screen, Qualcomm QCM6490 chip and 50 MP camera will debut on 31 August
We have already written more than once that Fairphone company is preparing for the release of its new smartphone-constructor Fairphone 5. Now thanks to insider @rquandt all the details about the novelty have appeared on the Internet.
Technical Characteristics
Fairphone 5 will get a collapsible body and a 6.46-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a resolution of FHD +. The novelty will run Qualcomm QCM6490 processor with a clock frequency of 2.7 GHz. The chip is an improved version of the Snapdragon 778G.
It is also known that the gadget will be equipped with a 5G modem, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. If desired, the memory can be expanded with a microSD card. Fairphone 5 will receive three cameras: dual main camera at 50 MP + wide-angle lens and frontal at 50 MP. The smartphone will install a 4200 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The novelty will come with IP55 protection.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Fairphone 5 is set to make its debut in Europe on 31 August. The smartphone will cost 699 euros.
