Huawei will create its own version of the HarmonyOS operating system to replace Windows and Linux on PCs

HarmonyOS is the operating system of the Chinese company Huawei, which appeared a few years ago in response to US sanctions. Soon the manufacturer will create software to replace Windows and Linux.

Here's What We Know

American sanctions closed Huawei's access to Android, forcing the company to create its own operating system. Now HarmonyOS is available not only on smartphones. Tablets, watches, routers and TVs run the software. In addition, the system is even found in cars.

Now Huawei plans to create a version of HarmonyOS, which will replace the Windows and Linux operating systems in personal computers. This was announced by Wang Chenglu, head of HarmonyOS development.

To be fair, HarmonyOS for smartphones, which has already reached v4.0, is a modification of Android. It is possible that the PC version will be based on the Linux operating system. Whether this is the case or not, we'll find out next year.
