Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro camera details and features revealed

On 4 October, Google scheduled the presentation of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, but long before that, both insiders and the manufacturer itself began to reveal details about the novelties. This time journalists received a promo video that tells about the functions of the cameras of smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The video shows some of the Pixel 8 Pro camera features, such as Real Tone, Night Sight, astrophotography, Super Res Zoom and the ability to change faces in the image, probably using Magic Editor. For video, options like Video Boost, Night Sight for low-light video, Audio Eraser to reduce background sounds and improved skin tones are available.

In addition to this, insider 91mobiles has provided detailed camera specs. The Pixel 8 will have dual cameras: a 50 MP sensor with 8x zoom, 1/1.31″ sensor size and f/1.68 aperture, and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus and f/2.2 aperture. The front camera is 10.5MP.

The Pixel 8 Pro will get a triple-module camera, with the main sensor being the same as the Pixel 8. It seems to be the same ISOCELL GN1 that was used in last year's Seven. The other two modules are a 48 MP wide (f/1.95) and 48 MP telephoto lens (f/2.8, 5x optical zoom and up to 30x magnification).

Given the lack of dramatic design changes, it's the cameras from the Pixel 8 lineup that Google is actively promoting. We're sure that closer to the presentation date we'll learn a lot more about the new flagships.
