Insider: OnePlus 12 will get Sony's new 50 MP IMX966 module with OIS support

Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has published detailed specifications of the OnePlus 12 camera on Weibo.

So, the company's new flagship will get three sensors. The main sensor is IMX966. Sony will present it in the near future. The sensor will have a resolution of 50 megapixels, aperture f/1.7, focal length of 23 mm and support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). It will be complemented by a 48-megapixel IMX581 wide-angle lens with 1/2-inch size, f/2.2 aperture and 14mm focal length, as well as a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom.

As for other OnePlus 12 specs, they will include a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

When We Can Expect It

The OnePlus 12 will make its debut in China later this year. The smartphone will be available in the global market in early 2024.
