ASUS to launch ROG Phone 8 gaming smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
ASUS has waited until the hype around Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 dies down and announced its gaming smartphone. It will be called ASUS ROG Phone 8.
Here's What We Know
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was unveiled last week. Almost immediately major companies announced their smartphones with the new chip. But almost all of them will appear in the future. For example, the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro will premiere on 12 December 2023. The only smartphones you can already buy are the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.
As for the ASUS ROG Phone 8, the only thing we know about the gaming flagship is that it will get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. We can assume that it will have Android 14 operating system, not the best cameras, advanced cooling system and backlighting or an additional screen.
ASUS will probably show the regular version and the Ultimate variant again, as it did in spring 2023. The ROG 7 and ROG 7 Ultimate smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip go on sale for €999 / €1199 and €1399 respectively.
