The modified Kirin 9000s chip scored in Geekbench on par with the Snapdragon 865 from four years ago
Huawei today announced a new iteration of its MatePad Pro 11 tablet. It is rumoured to get a modified variant of the Kirin 9000s chip. This processor was recently tested in Geekbench.
Here's What We Know
A device with 12GB of RAM and model number XYAO-W00 passed the performance test, under which the new tablet is probably hiding. According to data from Geekbench, the chip has a single core at 2.49 GHz, three cores at 2.15 GHz and four energy efficient cores at 1.53 GHz.
The result of the modified Kirin 9000s processor in the Single-Core and Multi-Core tests was 1,244 and 3,793 points respectively. About the same in the benchmark score smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, which was introduced four years ago.
Despite the sanctions, Huawei continues to produce smartphones. This year, the company announced the Mate 60 series with a full-fledged Kirin 9000s processor. In addition, the company will soon release the nova 12 line with a new Kirin 830 chipset.
