NVIDIA will soon unveil a modified GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The Ampere generation model will have 2 GB less video memory. The price will be reduced by more than 20%.

Recently we wrote about the preparation for the release of GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 GB VRAM. Its appearance on the market will follow the discontinuation of production of the version with 8 GB of memory. Presentation of the new graphics card is expected in a month at CES 2024.
According to new information, the GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 GB of video memory will cost approximately $179-189. Thus, it will be $60-70 cheaper than the original model, which went on sale last year at an official price of $249.
GeForce RTX 3050 with 6 GB will get a chip with 2048 CUDA cores and a frequency of 1470 MHz. The memory bus resolution will be 96 bits. In addition, the upcoming novelty will have a TGP of 75W, which is almost half as much compared to the original model (130W).
