Bloomberg: Apple is already shipping Vision Pro headsets to distribution warehouses and is actively preparing for a sales launch in February
Apple officially unveiled Vision Pro mixed reality headset in June 2023 and then promised to start selling it in early 2024. But the company has yet to give a more precise timeline. At the same time, insiders say that preparations for the start of sales are in full swing.
Here's What We Know
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says Apple will make an official announcement about the Vision Pro release date soon. It will probably happen next week to overshadow the news of new products from the CES show. And sales themselves should start in February.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is now sending devices to distribution warehouses in the US and preparing stock in its retail shops.
In addition, retail employees are being sent to Apple Park for Vision Pro sales training. Apple executives have also scheduled extended retail training for the week beginning 21 January. Thus, all signs point to a February release.
The Vision Pro will be available only in the U.S. at first, and will debut in other countries later this year. The headset will cost $3499.
