The Always-On Display feature with wallpaper in the Galaxy S24 will not appear in older Samsung smartphones
Yesterday, 17 January, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 flagships with One UI 6.1 on board and a new Always-On Display feature. As it turns out, the company's older smartphones won't get it.
Here's What We Know
The information was shared by our colleagues from SamMobile. The innovation will be available only to the current flagship devices of the brand. Most likely, this is due to the fact that older Samsung smartphones have less energy-efficient screens, so the inclusion of this feature will affect the battery life of the devices too much.
Flashback
The new Always-On Display feature in the Galaxy S24 allows you to display on the lock screen not only the clock and notifications, but also some desktop image objects. Incidentally, a similar Always-On Display feature originally appeared in the iPhone.
