Xiaomi has certified the Mix Flip foldable smartphone with satellite communication support

Since last autumn, the Internet periodically appeared rumours that Xiaomi is preparing a "clamshell", which will join the line of foldable devices Mix Fold. And now the other day Xiaomi Mix Flip (it is expected that this is how the smartphone will be called) was certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.

Here's What We Know

The certification does not reveal all the details about the foldable smartphone, but some information did become known. Most importantly, according to the certification, the Mix Flip will support satellite connectivity.

5G support and Android operating system are also confirmed, but this is no longer a surprise.

According to early rumours, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a triple camera. Xiaomi is expected to unveil the smartphone along with the Mix Fold 4 later this year.
