A reference to Apple's new homeOS operating system was found in the code of the beta version of tvOS 17.4

Apple seems to be developing a new operating system.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by our colleagues from MacRumors. We are talking about a system with the name homeOS. Dataminers found mention of the new OS in the code of tvOS 17.4 Beta 1.

Unfortunately, there are no details about homeOS yet. We can only assume that it will get Apple's smart display.

According to rumours, the device will compete with Amazon Echo Show, Meta Portal and Google Nest Hub. The novelty will get an iPad-style design, speakers like the HomePod, and will come with a camera for FaceTime. The device will probably debut later this year.
