Apple is working on the first foldable device with a 7-8 inch screen, the novelty will replace the iPad mini

According to Korean publication The Elec, Apple is now developing its first foldable device.

What is known

The novelty plans to release as a replacement for the iPad mini. The gadget is likely to get a main display with a diagonal of 7 or 8 inches. Which panel it will be is still unknown, but the report says that Samsung and LG have already sent their samples of screens to Apple for testing.

Unfortunately, there are no other details about the novelty yet. As for the release, we should expect it in 2026 or 2027. By the way, Apple is now also considering releasing a foldable device with a 20.5-inch screen. The novelty is definitely not worth waiting for in the next few years.
