Rumour: Xiaomi is already working on a series of Redmi K80 devices, the new products will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chips

A Chinese insider Digital Chat Station told IT Home publication that Xiaomi has started developing new Redmi K smartphones.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro models. Detailed specifications of the devices are not yet available, but it is likely that the gadgets will be powered by the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor or the new SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Apart from this, the devices will get 5000-6000 mAh batteries and support for fast charging.

When We Can Expect It

Unfortunately, we shouldn't expect the release of the Redmi K80 series anytime soon. Smartphones are likely to be shown in China in late 2024, and on the global market, the new products may be released in early 2025.
