Images of iPhone 16 cases confirm updated camera design
It was previously rumoured that The first photo of the iPhone 16's camera unit with vertically positioned modules has surfaced in the upcoming iPhone 16. And new images of the cases confirm it.
Here's What We Know
Judging by the images, the main camera unit is an oval with two lenses arranged vertically. To the right of them is placed a flash.
Such a design Apple has used before - in the iPhone X and iPhone XS models. From 2021 and the release of iPhone 13, the company has changed the design to a square unit with two modules arranged diagonally.
By switching to a vertically orientated design, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to be able to record spatial video.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will retain the square camera units as they have more modules than the base models.
