Vivo NEX 5 will get Snapdragon 898, WQHD+ screen, 60 MP camera and 120W charging
In 2018, Vivo introduced the NEX family of smartphones, the main feature of which was a retractable front camera. Over time, the line was supplemented by a model with two displays, and the latest representative of the series is Vivo NEX 3S. Now the manufacturer is preparing to premiere the Vivo NEX 5 model.
What we know
In 2020, the company decided to minimally update the series, replacing Snapdragon 855+ chip in the NEX 3 5G with Snapdragon 865 in the NEX 3S. We shouldn't expect a new generation this year either, and Vivo NEX 5 will hit the market as early as next year. Renderer and specifications of the smartphone was shared by one of the insiders on Twitter.
The flagship will be equipped with a 6.67" Wide Quad HD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate with an integrated front-facing camera. The primary camera will feature a 60-megapixel image sensor paired with ZEISS optics for the first time.
Vivo NEX 5 will be powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 898 mobile processor, while its battery capacity of 4,800mAh with 120-watt fast charging via wire will be responsible for its battery life. The flagship will be on sale with Android 12 operating system out of the box.
