A blogger tried to revive a sunken Audi e-tron GT electric car by drying it out in rice. And the tip-off works!
Many people probably know a useful tip for drowned gadgets: immerse them in rice for a while so that it takes up the moisture. This drying method is usually used for smartphones, tablets and small devices, but an American YouTube blogger decided to do the experiment... with a car.
Details
To do it, the blogger bought an Audi e-tron GT electric car, which was damaged during the storm. Despite the fact that the car was not running and badly damaged, he had to pay $56 000,00 for it.
It needed a special box and almost 2 tons of stale rice to "dry" it out. The car was parked in the box, covered with rice, and left in this condition for several days.
The amazing thing is that the trick worked: electric car started up and managed to move on its own. Of course, it wasn't able to "heal" completely and still needs some serious repairs. So the blogger and his team decided to continue to restore the car, but this time by more traditional methods.
