Iranian military issues $800 ARM development board for next-generation quantum processor for weapons
Iran has unveiled a quantum processor for next-generation weapons that will counter tomorrow's threats. But there is a nuance.
Here's What We Know
Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Iran has made great strides in modern technology. He was also photographed with a new quantum processor in his hands. But this was a mistake.
The naked eye can see that the Rear Admiral is holding a board marked ZedBoard. The product is developed by the American company Diligent and sold for around $600-800 on Amazon, depending on the region and the retailer.
Of course, it's not a quantum processor at all. The board contains a low-power ARM single-chip system with two Cortex-A9 cores. The CPU clocked in at 0.65GHz The device has 256MB of onboard memory and 512MB of DDR3 RAM.
