Improved performance and reduced price: Zeekr has launched the updated 001 electric car

Zeekr, which is owned by Geely Automobile Holdings, announced the 001 electric car in 2021 and has now revealed its updated version.

Here's What We Know

The novelty received the prefix 2024 in the name and the same appearance. All the changes touched the price (it decreased) and characteristics. For example, the company updated the platform (800V, instead of 400V). This allows for more efficient use of energy, as well as faster charging. The Zeekr 001 now charges from 10 to 80% in just 12 minutes.

As for the packs, they are the same: WE (95 kWh), WE (100 kWh), ME (100 kWh) and YOU (100 kWh). That said, some of them have been given improvements. For example, the WE (100 kWh) variant with one engine received a power increase from 200 kW to 310 kW, while the other three configurations received two engines with a peak output of 580 kW. These three configurations were also fitted with a new Qlin battery (manufactured by CATL) with a CLTC rating of 750 kilometres for the WE and 705 kilometres for the ME and YOU versions. The WE single engine variant will get a ShenXing battery (also manufactured by CATL) with a range of 675 kilometres.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The updated Zeekr 001 is already available to buy in China. The price of the car starts with $37,400.
