Insider reveals OnePlus 12 camera specs: it will be the company's first smartphone with a zoom sensor

Details about OnePlus' new top-of-the-line smartphone continue to emerge on the internet.

Chinese insider Digital Chat Station shared details about the OnePlus 12 camera. So, the novelty will get a 1/1.4-inch Sony IMX9xx main sensor. It will have a resolution of 50 megapixels and support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). It should be complemented by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B periscope with 3x optical zoom. This will be the first OnePlus smartphone with a zoom camera. Incidentally, just like the current generation of the smartphone, the OnePlus 12 camera will get Hasselblad optimisation.

As for other specs, it is known that the device will get a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen. The gadget will be powered by a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Also, the novelty will be equipped with a 5400 mAh battery with 100W charging and Android 14 operating system.

When We Can Expect It

If you believe the rumours, the release of OnePlus 12 in China will take place in December. In the global market, the novelty will be shown in January 2024.
