Jukai Studio, the developer of Stray Souls, has announced its closure

Before the festive period, it became known that Jukai Studio, the developer of the horror game Stray Souls, announced its closure. In a post on their Twitter account, the developers said that the closure was due to many different factors, including the closure of the publisher Versus Evil, negative critical reviews, low sales, and cases of cyberbullying.

Here's What We Know

It is noted that the latter aspect played a significant role in the decision to close the studio and was particularly cruel to the development team, which consisted of two "core" people and contract staff:

"Throughout the entire duration, we, our publisher staff, other publisher dev teams and our close ones were constantly attacked by a cyber persecutor, and some of you, as our community, were also tormented with unwanted messages and emails. “The matter is now in the hands of our lawyers, so we cannot speak about it any further, but know that we will not abandon it despite the studio’s closure."

The case is currently in the hands of the lawyers, so the team cannot elaborate on the situation yet, but they note that despite the closure of the studio, they are not giving up their rights and will act within the law.
