Internal Microsoft documents revealed mention of the development of a new DOOM instalment, Dishonored 3, Fallout 3 and Oblivion remasters, and that's not the whole list of Bethesda projects!
As part of the FTC case against Microsoft, a lot of confidential documents have ended up online that carry a lot of interest.
We've already written about two leaks: the new Xbox Series X Project Brooklin in a cylindrical case and the next generation of American consoles. Now let's turn our attention to the projects of Bethesda publisher, which could potentially be released in the next few years.
Here's What We Know
Internal documents submitted to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) revealed some curious new products from Todd Howard's company.
The files of ZeniMax Media - Bethesda's parent company - show that the following games were in development until its merger with Microsoft (2020):
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remaster/remake (due out in FY 2022);
- DOOM Year Zero and DLC (FY 2023), and another set of add-ons a year later;
- Fallout 3 remaster (FY 2024);
- Dishonored 3 (FY 2024);
- GhostWire: Tokyo sequel (FY 2024);
- Project Kestrel (FY 2023) along with the add-on;
- Project Platinum;
- some sort of game based on an unnamed franchise.
It's likely that the developers' plans have changed in the three years since ZeniMax and Microsoft merged, but it's possible that Bethesda will make some interesting announcements soon.
