The release date for the dystopian big-budget game based on the comic book Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin may have been revealed
The big-budget action game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin was officially announced at THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023 in August.
The developers revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a game aimed at adult audiences and is based on the graphic novel of the same name, which was released in 2020.
The audience was shown a beautiful and dramatic trailer, but until now even the approximate release date of the game remains unknown.
Here's What We Know
From the profile of concept artist Hung Nguy on ArtStation, it became known not only about the approximate release date of Marvel's Wolverine.
The artist also indicated that he's working on a "film" based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, but no such project has been previously reported. Most likely, this is how Hung Nguy disguised the game discussed above.
The artist pointed out that the "film" TMNT: The Last Ronin will be released in 2025. And this date sounds absolutely logical for the game, because earlier Black Forest Games studio was busy with other projects and only recently started active development of the dark action, but the yet unannounced film can't be released so soon.
Interestingly, one of the Paramount Global executives mentioned earlier that TMNT: The Last Ronin will be similar to God of War (2018) in terms of gameplay, probably implying a similar approach to the construction of semi-open locations and the general concept of the game's combat system.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
