No more waiting? Dataminer has found another confirmation of the soon-to-be-released Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring
Fans of Elden Ring - the best game of 2022 and one of the most highly appreciated projects in the history of video games - are eagerly awaiting the release of the major expansion Shadow of the Erdtree.
The developers from FromSoftware are keeping an emphasised silence about the DLC release date, but by implication, it will be released very soon - expected in February. This version is confirmed by the discovery of dataminer and Elden Ring fan under the nickname Ziostorm1.
Here's What We Know
In his Twitter Ziostorm1 reported that in the SteamDB database he found the activity of Japanese developers, which indicates the preparation for the release of some kind of add-on for Elden Ring.
The blogger logically assumed that the file named Unknown App 2778580 indicates the Shadow of the Erdtree add-on, and if such data is recorded in Steam - it usually indicates the imminent release of the project.
A new Elden Ring DLC package has just been added to Elden Ring within the files for the first time since launch.

I'm not saying it's 100% Shadow of the Erdtree but... There's a pretty good chance it is. pic.twitter.com/1j6HCVfGQo
As a reminder, the 24th of February marks two years since the release of Elden Ring and the developers may time the release of Shadow of the Erdtree to coincide with that date.
