Rumour: PlayStation 5 Pro will have a removable 1TB drive
Insider Gaming 's Tom Henderson talks about some of the rumoured features of the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro, including a 28% increase in system memory and a removable disc drive and 1TB of storage.
Here's What We Know
The console is allegedly at SDK 9.00, with SDK 10.00 expected this autumn, hinting at a target release window. Previous rumours suggested a holiday launch in 2024, but delays are possible due to a lack of big games from top-tier developers.
Other rumours include ACV running at a higher clock speed, offering 35% more performance with an ACM library that handles more convolutional reverb and FFT or IFFT. In addition, the PlayStation 5 Pro allegedly boasts 30 WGPs compared to 18 WGPs in the PlayStation 5, which promises improved traversal shaders.
