On July 9, digital stores will remove Unreal Engine 5 techno demos based on "The Matrix"
In December 2021, The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience was released - a technical demonstration of the engine's capabilities dedicated to the release of the film "The Matrix: Resurrection". If you're going to check out the app but haven't added it to your library yet, you should hurry.
July 9 The Matrix Awakens will disappear from digital stores. Reason unknown, probably expiring franchise license.
For those who have added the techno demo to the library, there is nothing to worry about - you will be able to run it and download it again after uninstalling.
As a reminder, The Matrix Awakens not only shows the beauty of Unreal Engine 5, but also lets you play a little. The demo is divided into two segments: a car chase, where you only need to shoot at the pursuers, and free exploration of the city without weapons - on foot or in cars.
Officially, The Matrix Awakens is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. However, there is a fan build on PC - with modes including the ability to play as Superman and Spider-Man.
