Initially the actor Sam Heughan, known from the TV series "Outlander" was announced for the role of Deacon St. John, but game director of Days Gone Jeff Ross was not satisfied with the choice. He thought the role was perfect for Samuel Stewart Witwer, who played Deacon in the game. While the situation with the performer of the main role, as well as the rest of the roles, is not clear.
At the moment, Sony did not confirm this information, but judging by the fact, that the company is seriously taking up the film adaptation of its most popular video game franchises, it is likely that soon we will really get to see the Days Gone movie.
