New Marvel Universe games won't repeat stories from comics, movies and TV series

At the moment, there are many games based on the Marvel Comics in production. But according to Bill Rosemann, creative director of Marvel's gaming division, they won't be connected to each other by a single storyline.

He said the new projects are standalone games in which developers can implement any creative ideas without being tied to existing plots. Bill Rosemann believes that the multiverse format is the best solution for such multidimensional stories.

We don't want to say something along the lines of, "you can't blow up the moon, because this game over here by another studio needs the moon."

The plots of the new Marvel Universe games may differ from the canonical stories of the comics and movies. This is done intentionally to give each project a unique and distinctive feel, but the basic elements will be present in every game.

As you play, you may see that, for example, the story doesn't repeat the Iron Man story you've already seen, but it will contain many familiar things.
