Many developers are urgently looking for ways to transfer progress in their games from users of the service Stadia, which will cease to exist in January 2023.
CD Projekt RED also puzzled over this problem and has released instructions for the players how to transfer progress on Cyberpunk 2077 with Stadia on other platforms
To do this, follow the instruction:
- Go to takeout.google.com.
- Under Create a new export click on Deselect all and select Stadia. Click Next Step.
- Select the desired destination and Export once. Select the file type ".zip" and the size of 2 GB. Click Create Export.
- Download the file.
- Find the downloaded archive on your computer, extract files from it.
- Saves will be placed in folder .../Takeout/Stadia/GAMING/GAME_SAVE/. Please note that there may also be saves from other games.
- The files of each game save are inside the archives. Extract them to separate folders.
- To use the extracted preserves in the PC version, simply copy and paste these folders to the following path: %userprofile%\saved games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077.
The Stadia saves can also be used in the console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 (if available), for this players can use the cross-progress on PC and synchronize it with their GOG account.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Launch Cyberpunk 2077 on PC.
- Make sure you are logged into REDlauncher - this is the account where your cross-platform saves will be stored.
- Make sure that cross-platform saves are enabled in the in-game settings.
- Load the last save file from Stadia (or whatever you want to copy).
- Save the game again.
- This save file should be synced to the cloud and displayed on your console (if you are logged in with the same GOG account).
