The servers and the base PC version of Dark Souls II have now been restored! Networking options are available again in the entire trilogy
FromSoftware studio hurries to please the fans of Dark Souls games on PC.
Here's What We Know
Japanese developers fully restored the servers of PC-version of Dark Souls II.
We emphasize that we're talking about the basic version of the game in 2014, because the servers of the re-release with the subtitle Scholar of the First Sin were launched a month earlier. And even earlier, FromSoftware Studios brought back the online features in Dark Souls III and Dark Souls Remastered.
It was already reported that the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition server restore is not possible because of the outdated network code of this game version.
Online features for the PC version of #Dark Souls II (DX9) have been reactivated.

We thank you once again for your patience and support regarding the restoration of the Dark Souls servers.
Flashback
The servers of the entire trilogy were shut down in January 2022 because of an exploit that allowed hackers to access user data.
